Railway passengers can now get unreserved tickets in Tamil and Malayalam vernaculars at four stations each in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
These stations are Chennai Central, Tiruchirapalli, Salem and Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Kozhikode in Kerala. In a tweet, Railways Minister Shri Piyush Goyal said, the facility at the remaining stations will be rolled out shortly. He said the unreserved tickets have already been made available in Kannada language in Karnataka and in Telugu in Andhra Pradesh.
